MultiOn launched V2 of its browser automation agent this week, marking the most significant update since the platform's launch. The new version addresses many of the limitations that kept MultiOn in our honorable mentions tier rather than the top 6.

What's new in V2

  • Improved success rate. MultiOn reports a 78% task success rate in V2, up from 62% in V1. We'll verify this in our upcoming re-test.
  • Visual workflow builder. A new no-code interface for building multi-step browser workflows, similar to Lindy's approach.
  • Better captcha handling. V2 includes improved bot-detection evasion (within ethical limits) that should help with retail sites.
  • Mobile app. New iOS app lets you launch and monitor tasks from your phone.
  • Team features. Shared workflows, centralized billing, and admin controls for small teams.
  • MCP support. Full MCP integration for connecting to external tools and data sources.

Pricing

V2 pricing is unchanged from V1: $20/month for Starter, $100/month for Pro. The new features are included at no additional cost for existing subscribers.

Our take

The V2 improvements address most of our criticisms from the 2026 ranking. If the reported 78% success rate holds up in our testing, MultiOn would move from honorable mentions to the top 10. We'll re-test MultiOn in July and update our ranking accordingly.

For now, our recommendation is unchanged: OpenAI Operator remains our top pick for transactional web tasks. But MultiOn V2 is worth watching, and users who were disappointed by V1 should give V2 a fresh look.
